| Lake Manyara is approximately
200km from the west of Moshi and lies below the Great Rift Valley wall. It
is app 330km2 of which approximately 200km2 is lake.
Due to the variety of habitats in the park it is able to support a large
number of different species.
Wildlife in Lake Manyara National Park includes animals such as Hyenas, Wildebeestes, Antelopes, Zebras, Buffalos and a large population of Hippos. If you search hard and are lucky enough you may even get a chance to look at the famous tree climbing lions! Over 350 species of birds have also been recorded here at Lake Manyara National Park. |
